Destiny 2 Settings and Performance

Settings that matter for Destiny 2: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.

Start with stability, not max settings

A hitch in Destiny 2 is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.

Setup note 1

FOV and a stable frametime. Ability FX is loud; you still need to see champions.

Setup note 2

Text chat and fireteam settings. Mics help in endgame.

Setup note 3

This client is large. Install the campaigns you will play if the installer allows.

Accessibility

If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. Destiny 2 is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
