FC 26 Tactics and Formations
One shape, roles that match the players, and a plan you can actually switch to at 0-2.
One formation first
Pick one and learn the defensive line. Changing shape every goal means you never learn either.
Build-up and defense
Set a build-up plan and a defensive plan. Custom tactics that you never switch in-game are just menu decoration. Know the D-pad change for dropping the line or a press burst.
Roles
FC IQ / roles should match the player. A wing-back who cannot run is not a wing-back because the menu said so.
Chasing a game
Have a second plan for 1-0 down. Sending everyone forward with a high line and empty legs is how 1-0 becomes 1-3.
UT vs Career
Same tactics ideas. UT adds chemistry. Career adds rotation. Neither replaces jockeying.
