Tarkov Settings and Performance
Settings that matter for Escape from Tarkov: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.
Start with stability, not max settings
A hitch in Escape from Tarkov is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.
Setup note 1
This game is CPU and RAM hungry. Close the browser. Use a wired connection.
Setup note 2
Audio occlusion settings: footsteps are the skill ceiling.
Setup note 3
Streets and big maps need more hardware. Learn on smaller maps first.
Accessibility
If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. Tarkov is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
