Palworld Settings and Performance

World sliders, Pal counts, shadows, and hosts that can actually simulate a ranch.

World sliders

Hunger, raid interval, Pal spawn, item weight, and XP are all tunable. Ease hunger and raids on a first save. You can tighten later. Max everything on night one is a different game.

Performance

The simulation is heavier than the gunplay. Drop shadows and on-screen Pal count first if you hitch. A pretty forest at 20 FPS is how you miss a sphere throw.

Co-op and servers

Solo, friends, and dedicated servers all work. Host on a machine that can simulate the base while people catch. Desync and frozen ranches are usually the host, not 'Pals are broken.'

PvP

Optional in world settings and server rules. Learn PvE automation before you turn player damage on. A raid is already enough homework.

Saves

Cloud and local both fail if you never exit cleanly. After a breeding session or a tower, give the world a clean save before you alt-tab into a second game.
