ARC Raiders Beginner Guide

A first-week plan for ARC Raiders: how the loop works, what to do in session one, and the mistakes that waste the most time.

What ARC Raiders actually is

ARC Raiders is Embark's PvPvE extraction adventure: you leave the underground city of Speranza, scavenge a machine-haunted surface, and only keep what you extract with. The loop you will repeat: Craft a kit, drop topside, loot a route, fight ARC or other raiders if you must, then extract before the raid timer or your greed ends the run.

Your first session

Run cheap kits until you can extract on command. Legendary loot on a dead body is a donation. Learn one map's extracts and a quiet loot path before you contest hot POIs. Play trios if you can. Solo is a different risk budget. Bank materials in Speranza. Re-queueing with the whole stash equipped is how one bad raid resets the evening.

Mistakes that end runs

Shooting ARC machines for fun next to a PvP compound. You just rang the dinner bell. Staying for one more crate when the extract is a 90-second walk and the timer is not. Third-partying a fight you cannot finish. Extraction games punish spectators who walk into the middle. Ignoring audio. Mechanical ARC and player footsteps are different — learn both.

What 'good' looks like after a week

You should be able to explain ARC Raiders's core loop in one sentence, recover from a bad session without rage-reinstalling, and know which mode or map is for learning versus for ego. If you are still lost, re-read the first-session steps instead of hopping to a random viral build.
