Habit 1: stop paying this tax
Declaring a kingdom with 40 troops. You will be dogpiled. Flip it: Do the training and a few tournaments. Personal combat skill keeps you alive when the AI blobs.
Habit 2: stop paying this tax
Cav-only against a spear wall in a chokepoint. Mix the army. Flip it: Buy cheap troops you can replace. Elite stacks wipe to a bad siege.
Habit 3: stop paying this tax
Ignoring influence, relations, and clan parties if you want to be king. Flip it: Keep food and wages in the ledger. Starving armies desert.
Habit 4: stop paying this tax
Auto-resolving every battle before you understand formation hotkeys. Flip it: Smithing and workshops are optional money. Fighting and quests are the tutorial economy.
