DST Settings and Performance
Settings that matter for Don't Starve Together: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.
Start with stability, not max settings
A hitch in Don't Starve Together is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.
Setup note 1
Server settings: drop rates, seasons, and PvP. Agree before you starve together.
Setup note 2
Caves are a second map. Do not go unprepared.
Setup note 3
Workshop mods can add characters and items. Vanilla first if you want to learn the bosses.
Accessibility
If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. DST is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
