Elden Ring Settings and Performance

Settings that matter for ELDEN RING: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.

Start with stability, not max settings

A hitch in ELDEN RING is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.

Setup note 1

Lock-on vs free cam: bosses with wide arena movement often want you to unlock for a second.

Setup note 2

Performance: cap FPS if 1% lows hitch during particle-heavy fights.

Setup note 3

Seamless co-op is a mod, not vanilla. Vanilla summoning uses signs and passwords.

Accessibility

If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. Elden Ring is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
