Is FM26 a full rewrite?
It is the current SI release with the new-generation presentation. Expect a learning curve if you skipped a year.
Do I need the in-game editor?
No. It is optional sandbox. Ironman saves exist if you want pain.
Online?
There is online/fantasy-style play, but most hours are still offline saves.
How long is a season?
As long as you want. A careful season can be many evenings.
