FM26 Settings and Performance
Settings that matter for Football Manager 26: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.
Start with stability, not max settings
A hitch in Football Manager 26 is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.
Setup note 1
Match highlight detail vs full match is a time budget. Use comprehensive for learning, then drop down.
Setup note 2
Processing speed and skin choice affect sanity on large databases.
Setup note 3
Back up saves. Cloud vs local has bitten FM players for years.
Accessibility
If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. FM26 is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
