Stardew Settings and Performance

Settings that matter for Stardew Valley: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.

Start with stability, not max settings

A hitch in Stardew Valley is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.

Setup note 1

Zoom and UI scale on large monitors. You need to see the clock.

Setup note 2

Co-op: cabins and money sharing rules should be agreed in town hall settings.

Setup note 3

Mods (SMAPI) are optional. Finish a vanilla year if you want achievements without drama.

Accessibility

If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. Stardew is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
