When did WARDOGS release?
Early Access launched on Steam 10 September 2026 (app 1867240). Developer BULKHEAD, publisher Team17. It is still in Early Access — expect balance, maps, and browser work.
Is WARDOGS a battle royale or extraction shooter?
No. The Steam store page states both, word for word. One King-of-the-Hill mode: 100 players, three teams, one Control Zone, first to 100 points. No shrinking circle, no extract bag.
How much does it cost?
$39.99 at Early Access. Not free to play. Starting in-match wallet is $10,000 and persists between matches; that is not the store price.
Are there classes?
No locked classes. Six XP tracks — Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot — level from actions. Mix tools in one loadout.
What should I play first?
Bakurani, cheap Assault or Medic kit, stand in the Hot Zone, wait for revives, remember the third faction. Ranked ladders are not the onboarding — occupancy is.
