BG3 Settings and Performance
Settings that matter for Baldur's Gate 3: stability, audio, and the options that actually change how you play.
Start with stability, not max settings
A hitch in Baldur's Gate 3 is a lost fight, a missed click, or a crash into a wall. Cap FPS to a number you can hold, turn off extra overlays, and use a wired connection for anything competitive.
Setup note 1
Turn-based mode can be forced in exploration if real-time movement stresses you.
Setup note 2
Karmic dice is a setting. Turn it off if you want raw 5e swinginess.
Setup note 3
Co-op: agree on loot and who talks. Four people clicking different dialogue is chaos.
Accessibility
If motion, color, or audio mix is fighting you, use the in-game accessibility options first. BG3 is more fun when you can actually parse the screen.
