Hard
Ancient
CT-sided mid and a donut that punishes late rotates.
Ancient is less forgiving than Dust II. Mid and donut are the map. T-side needs a real default — cave, mid, and a split — not five people walking A ramp. CT-side should delay with utility and not donate the AWP in mid every round.
- Key space
- Mid + donut
- T default
- Cave/mid control into A or B split
- CT hold
- Mid, donut, A ramp, B cave
Key spots
Donut
Connects A and B. Losing it means both sites feel late.
A ramp / temple
T execute space. Need a smoke and a trade, not a solo walk.
Mid
AWP duel. Utility before the peek.
B cave / ruin
Close holds and a lot of sound. Don't dry-peek the same angle twice.
Elbow / lane
Rotate timing. Call when you leave so teammates do not 2v5 a site.
Play notes
- Learn Ancient after Dust II, Mirage, and Inferno — not as map one.
- A successful T round often starts with a mid pick, not a full-buy execute at 1:50.
- CTs: one player must be allowed to fall. Hero peeks lose the half.
