IGL

In-game leader

You decide the default, the execute, and the save. A quiet IGL is just a rifler with opinions after the round is already lost.

Strengths

  • • Stops five disconnected solo queues from running the same site twice
  • • Economy calls print more rounds than a 30-bomb with no mid-round
  • • Can hide a weak aimer on a useful role if the default is real

Weaknesses

  • • Calling and aiming at the same time is a skill — new IGLs drop both
  • • Overcalling every round into a scripted execute gets read after three demos

Starter tips

  1. 1

    Start as IGL in a five-stack, not in Premier with four randoms who mute you.

    Have two T defaults and one mid-round: 'we have mid, hit B' is a complete sentence.

  3. 3

    If you are losing, change the first contact — not just the site name.

  4. 4

    Let someone else lurk if you cannot watch the map and the angle.
