Position 5

The best first role. You pull, you ward, you die so the carry does not, and you buy detection. KDA is not the scoreboard that matters.

Lane: Safelane pull and saveItem priority: Wards > boots > your 'core' item

Kit: Observer and Sentry Wards · Town Portal Scroll always · A save or a disable

Strengths

  • • Teaches the map: pulls, runes, smokes, and why towers exist
  • • A good 5 wins lanes that hero matchups cannot
  • • Fits almost any draft — Crystal Maiden, Lion, Shadow Shaman, Warlock

Weaknesses

  • • Boring if you only want rampage screenshots
  • • Starving yourself of boots forever means you never place the ward

Starter tips

  1. 1

    Pull the easy camp when the wave is pushing. Practice in a lobby until the timing is boring.

    Buy Observer Wards on cooldown. The stock sitting in the shop is a mistake with your name on it.

  3. 3

    Keep a TP. Walking back from a kill while mid T1 dies is how you lose the map.

  4. 4

    Start Crystal Maiden or Lion. Save the 'fun' roaming 5 until you can last-hit a pull.
