Free to play, 6v6, Team-Ups, and when to play ranked.
Is Marvel Rivals free?
Yes. Heroes unlock on a generous cadence; cosmetics are the shop. The gunplay and roles are not paywalled.
How many players per team?
Standard is 6v6. Role cover matters more than the number. Six Duelists still lose the point.
What is a Team-Up?
A bonus ability or passive when specific Marvel characters are on the same team. Read it before you lock. If the partner is not queued, it does not exist.
Should I play ranked immediately?
Not until you can fill a missing role and you know two ults besides your own. QP is for learning Spider-Man. Ranked is for filling.
What role should I learn first?
Strategist, then an anchor Vanguard. Poke Duelist third. Dive and flanks after you can play the objective without dying first every fight.
