Read the Team-Up. If the partner is not queued, your kit is missing a button. Swap or play the base kit honestly.

Best for: Players who lock a hero for a Team-Up that is not in the match

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Open Team-Up text before you lock. Know what the extra ability actually is.

  2. 2

    If the partner is free, ping it. A lonely Team-Up is flavor text.

  3. 3

    If they lock something else, switch to a hero whose full kit is in your hands.

  4. 4

    In fight, do not delay a go for a Team-Up that is on cooldown or out of range.

  5. 5

    Season lists change. The habit (read, confirm, swap) does not.

Tips

  • Classic pairs rotate with patches — Groot/Rocket, Hela/Loki, Namor/Luna-style links. Confirm in the client.
  • A Team-Up is not a reason to ignore 2-2-2. Two supports still beat a flavor combo with no tank.
  • If you cannot play the partner, do not instalock the star of the combo.
