The loop
The Sims 4 is a life simulator: create Sims, build lots, and run stories. The base game is free on Steam; packs add careers, worlds, and chaos. You set the goals.
Create a Sim, fulfill needs, go to work or school, build when you have simoleons, then start the next drama.
First moves
- 1.Play the base game for a week before buying packs. Gallery lots can wait until you can build a bathroom that works.
- 2.Use the cheat `testingcheats true` only if you want sandbox. Aspiration play is the tutorial.
- 3.Keep a fire alarm and a trash can. The memes exist because the systems do.
- 4.Aging can be disabled. If toddler care is not the fantasy, turn it off.
