Warframe Beginner Guide
A first-week plan for Warframe: how the loop works, what to do in session one, and the mistakes that waste the most time.
What Warframe actually is
Warframe is a fast third-person looter: parkour through missions, craft Warframes and weapons in the Foundry, and slowly unlock a space-ninja power fantasy that lasts thousands of hours. The loop you will repeat: Clear star chart nodes, craft the next frame, run relics or the current farm, then take on Steel Path when your mods are not cardboard.
Your first session
Finish the Vor tutorial and the early Earth/Venus nodes. The game opens after a few quests, not in the first mission. Level weapons by actually using them. Affinity sharing exists, but a rank 0 brick will feel awful. Spend early Platinum only if you understand slots. Buying cosmetics first is how you stall crafts. Join a clan for research. Solo Foundry is slower than it needs to be.
Mistakes that end runs
Skipping mods. A maxed Serration/Hornet Strike equivalent is more damage than a new shiny gun. Rushing every Foundry item with Platinum as a new player. Time is the F2P resource. Ignoring movement. Bullet jump is the campaign. Going to Steel Path with unranked gear because a YouTuber did it on a god roll.
What 'good' looks like after a week
You should be able to explain Warframe's core loop in one sentence, recover from a bad session without rage-reinstalling, and know which mode or map is for learning versus for ego. If you are still lost, re-read the first-session steps instead of hopping to a random viral build.
