The loop
Helldivers 2 is a third-person co-op shooter against bugs, bots, and squids. Stratagems win missions; friendly fire is always on; extraction is the only score that keeps samples.
Drop, complete main objectives, grab samples if you can, call extract, and do not throw an orbital on the pelican.
First moves
- 1.Start on easier difficulties until you can call a resupply and a sentry without looking at the full list.
- 2.Bring a support weapon that covers your faction: anti-tank for bots, crowd control for bugs.
- 3.Ping enemies and samples. The map is how squads stay together on big planets.
- 4.Dive, don't stand. The dive is a mechanic, not an emote.
