#8 · Zombie Survival
Project Zomboid Wiki
This is how you died — slower, if you respect sound
The Indie Stone
Featured setups
First house, quiet loot, fences, and the helicopter — not a shotgun in the street.

Rosewood · Day 1–3
First House
Two-story, fence if you can, sheets, water, a rope. Rosewood or Riverside — not West Point.
Best for: Spawns that immediately walk toward the prison or downtown

Any town · One pull
Fence Split
Walk away, close a door, put a fence between you and the pile. One zombie at a time.
Best for: People who fight fifteen zombies in a street with a pan

Riverside · Each outing
Loot Priority
Water, food, bag, weapon, medical. Books when the street is quiet. TVs later.
Best for: Characters who die under a TV and a generator
Start with these jobs
Carpentry and quiet looting first. Downtown last.

Carpenter
Sheets, walls, rain collectors
The best first job. You make the house a base. Skill books before you saw random furniture for 40 minutes.

Scavenger
Quiet loot, bags, priority
You fill the base without printing a horde. Over-encumbering then jogging is how moodles become a bite.

Melee Clearer
One zombie, not forty
You thin an area so the scavenger can work. A shotgun in a suburban street is a magnet. Walk away from 15 zombies.
Towns worth learning first
Rosewood or Riverside before West Point and Louisville.

Rosewood
The kindest first town: fire station, suburban streets, and a prison you should not tour on day one.

Riverside
Gated houses, a river, and a town that still punishes a shotgun on the lawn.

Muldraugh
The classic strip: warehouses, a dense main street, and the town that taught everyone to hate sirens.

West Point
Downtown density: gun stores, a horde on every block, and the town that ends overconfident runs.
